Fluency in Fit-out

Modular Interiors are providers of offsite manufactured fit-out solutions. Combined with traditional fit out skilled trades & offsite products we are able to complete full interior fit out service.

We work with the UK’s leading developers, clients, architects and contractors, to supply a range of services including design, manufacture, supply and installation.

We work openly in collaboration with clients and supply chain partners for mutual benefit. We embrace this philosophy to ensure that the most efficient and appropriate solutions can be found for every project undertaken.

Modular Interiors have adopted prefabrication ethos, the benefits of off-site construction are clear whether fully fabricated modular units or pre fabricated wall elements, the advantages over traditional construction are vast:

  • Shorter guaranteed on site durations
  • Predictable build times built on experience
  • Better control over quality
  • Centralised control – multiple trades from one source
  • Testing regime carried out prior to delivery
  • Reduced risk – fixed items means less product loss on site
  • Greatly improved safety by reducing site activity
  • Better for the environment – far fewer site deliveries, fewer lorries and much lower waste
  • Less on site labour & impact on contractor site resources
  • The carbon footprint of the project is greatly reduced
  • Project waste is either reused or recycled in our manufacturing facility
  • Limited packaging on site, removed & recycled
  • Reduced onsite programme

Design is the key to every project we undertake; ensuring that all aspects of our work are correctly coordinated, dimensioned and detailed is essential to the successful execution of all aspects of all of our works’ packages.

Our design department consists of in house designers who produce integrated drawings as part of a project team. Each designer has a sound technical knowledge relating to the manufacture and construction of all of our products and systems and hence is more than capable of taking architectural information and converting this to detailed working drawings.

All of our designers operate the latest version of Inventor 3D design software, along side Autocad & additional Autodesk family products as required.

Progresses in line with the developing requirements for Building Information Modelling by:

  • Creating detailed constituent models that are published into the BIM model
  • Using a unified design process that is aligned to current BIM philosophy
  • Nurturing a collaborative ethos with architects, clients, main contractors, stakeholders and the supply chain to meet the changing nature of the industry

Logistics routes and access requirements are reviewed prior to design commencement to ensure all modules can be designed and incorporated safely for transportation through site to safe installation.

Modules are then designed to suit project specific site requirements, these sections are manufactured/assembled to programme requirements in our pre-fab unit in Scotland where we have a local work-force of craft and multi-skilled operatives.

Installation on site is completed from our pool of direct teams currently consisting of 30 joiners, 10 plumbers, 6 Decorators and 2 Tilers. These are supplemented by subcontractors for specific elements including tiling, glazing and electrical installation.
